Jive with it..

You know, everyday I see people and their different characters, their behaviour and contemplation, mentality and mindset, and I think to myself, What a bunch of diverse earthlings we really are.
I often lead myself to believe that everyone is equal, and everyone is the same and no one is different than the other. But the laws of nature keep proving me wrong. Two days ago, a guy cut my dad off on the road, very violently, like he was in some huge hurry, my dad- Didn't get upset, nor did he even breathe a sigh of dismay. On the other hand, if my Mom was the one behind the wheel, a whole 'symphony' of rhetorical remarks would've been passed till the cows came home. And these two folks of mine, have been living together for 23 years! See, I dont get life sometimes. Barack Obama, currently, has a substantial lead over his Republican rival John McCain for the Presidential campaign. Let me rephrase- It is likely Obama will be THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!!
A black man. And half a century ago, blacks in America were treated as outcasts, slaves, scum to be more exact. They were being persecuted for the colour of their skin. And now, One of those 'Black kids' back in the day, is going to be the next President. Life can certainly change, and not only can it change, it can also show you that nothing is for certain, ever. My money is on Obama by the way, because it will certainly be a stamp of disgrace and humiliation to those who are racially biased, that a people that you so despise, has now produced a man you have to call Boss.It will be the biggest slap on the faces of the likes of the KKK and other groups as such.

We all have to remember that no matter what happens, everything happens for a reason. Our own political situation is in an utter mess. Why? Because we put the wrong people in the right seats. Our education system is suffering, why? Because we have appointed dead wood to administer education to our young generation. Everything that is happening around is a result of our own doing. We are too often at ease playing the blame game, and pointing fingers,shutting an eye, and sayin-Oops, I did it again. It is very easy to say, AH i don't care Lah! Or, it doesn't concern me, why bother. Friends, people in the 1950's of America too said why bother. Why bother caring for a nigga', who gives a rat's @$$ about black folks, they don't belong here.
Tables can turn, life can change.

I really do hope that our global economy can pick itself up as soon as WallStreet is back on its feet. I do hope alot of things in Malaysia change foe the better. But nothing is ever going to happen if none of us choose to do anything. Nothin is ever going to change if we keep electing the wrong people, if we keep appointing dead wood to teach our kids, if we only have solitary gain at best interest -nothing is ever going to change that way.

Best part is, when I wrote a newsletter about this in college, one reply i got said- Brother, Life is tough, Let's just PARTY!! and jive with it...
